Terms of Use & Licence Agreement

Version 2.0 — Effective 4 July 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By subscribing to Crane CAD Solutions and accessing any Dynamic AutoCAD Blocks (the “Blocks”), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not subscribe or use this service. Each time you start or renew a subscription, you accept the version of these Terms current at that date. We record each acceptance (account, date and time, Terms version) as evidence of agreement. Use of the Blocks is restricted to competent professionals such as Appointed Persons, Lift Planners, and Engineers. The Blocks are planning aids only and are not a substitute for:
  • Official manufacturer data or load charts
  • Professional engineering judgement
  • A complete site-specific lift plan
  • Compliance with LOLER, BS 7121, IS 360, or local safety codes

2. Definitions

  • “Blocks” — the dynamic AutoCAD drawings, source files and related content supplied through this website.
  • “Subscription” — a paid plan granting access to the Blocks while active.
  • “Named User” — the single individual person in whose name a Subscription is registered.
  • “Multi-Seat Licence” — a written agreement licensing a stated number of Named Users within one organisation.

3. Licensing & Access

Your Subscription grants a non-transferable, non-exclusive licence for one Named User to use the Blocks for professional lift planning.
  • The licence covers the Named User only — not their employer, colleagues, or organisation. Use by more than one person requires a Multi-Seat Licence: contact info@cranecadsolutions.com for fleet and team pricing.
  • Login credentials are personal. Sharing credentials — including within your own company or drawing office — is a breach of these Terms.
  • Access is controlled via a subscription validation system. No active subscription = no access.
  • You may not copy, share, resell, or distribute the Blocks, whether inside or outside your organisation.
  • Unauthorised access or sharing will result in immediate termination without refund and may lead to legal action.

4. Intellectual Property

  • All Dynamic Blocks, source files, and content are the exclusive property of Crane CAD Solutions Ltd.
  • You may not reverse-engineer, modify for resale, or claim ownership of any file.
  • Brand references (e.g. crane model names) are used under nominative fair use and for compatibility/identification only. Crane CAD Solutions is not affiliated with or endorsed by Liebherr-International AG or any manufacturer.

5. Subscription, Renewal & Downloads

  • Access to the Blocks is tied to an active subscription. Upon expiry or cancellation, your access rights are automatically revoked.
  • Any attempt to retain or use the files outside an active subscription is a breach of these Terms.
  • Monthly subscribers are limited to 5 downloads per billing period. The download counter resets on your subscription anniversary date.
  • Yearly subscribers receive unlimited downloads.
  • Existing subscribers on legacy plans retain their existing pricing and download allowances. These Terms otherwise apply to all subscriptions from the date of first renewal on or after the effective date above.

6. Security, Validation & Traceability

  • All .dwg files are secured by server-side validation. Access requires an active subscription key checked against our licensing API.
  • Downloaded files may carry embedded markers identifying the Subscription through which they were obtained, allowing shared or leaked files to be traced to the responsible account.
  • We may limit the number of simultaneous sessions per account.
  • Crane CAD Solutions reserves the right to disable or revoke access at any time if misuse is detected.

7. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will publish the new version on this page with an updated version number and effective date, and give notice by email or on-site notice. Continued use of the service, or renewal of your subscription, after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not accept the updated Terms, you may cancel before your next renewal.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

  • Files are provided “as-is” without warranties of any kind.
  • Crane CAD Solutions makes no guarantee of accuracy or suitability.
  • You assume full responsibility for verifying dimensions and ensuring compliance with local laws, standards, and safety regulations.

9. Limitation of Liability

  • Crane CAD Solutions is not liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential damages arising from the use or misuse of the Blocks.
  • You agree to indemnify Crane CAD Solutions Ltd against any claims resulting from your use of the files.

10. Data Protection & GDPR

  • We collect and store user data — including a record of each Terms acceptance (account, date and time, Terms version, and IP address) — for licensing, billing, and legal compliance.
  • Data is processed in accordance with the GDPR.
  • We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties except as required by law or to process payments (e.g., via Stripe).

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by UK law, with disputes subject to the jurisdiction of the UK courts.
